Because it isn’t plated, the XTP’s jacket starts out thick at its base and grows narrower the closer it gets to the tip. The jacket is strategically weakened even further by the notches stamped around its rim. Even if the XTP encounters the threat at a relatively low velocity, it’s still going to produce the terminal expansion which neutralizes a threat more effectively.

The XTP’s fully jacketed rim complements this ammo’s high-quality brass cases to promote surer feeding in all makes and models of firearms.
