Details
At 62 grains, this cartridge’s bullet weighs one step above standard. Astute marksmen will notice that 62 grains is the same weight as a 5.56 M855 projectile – and that’s not by coincidence. Despite containing no steel, the nonmagnetic full metal jacket delivers similar ballistic performance as a green tip penetrator projectile. The heavier FMJ is also an excellent choice if you’re concerned about wind drift. Its higher momentum helps to prevent it from getting blown around while its racing toward its zero.
Winchester seats that 62gr FMJ in a shiny brass case: fresh as daisies, and a great choice for any kind of handloading project you’ve got in mind. This ammo’s commercial-grade brass cases conceal charges of cleaning-burning propellant, and their Boxer primers are the very definition of noncorrosive.
