Blazer Brass is pretty much the gold standard as far as American-made plinking and target shooting ammo goes. This round’s 115 grain bullet is loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,145 fps, giving it essentially identical ballistic performance to a wide variety of other manufacturers’ analogous self-defense cartridges. The FMJ is made of pure lead and gilding metal – no steel that would have made it magnetic and accordingly banned at many handgun ranges.
Little surprise: This ammo has brass cases. They’re consistent and strong, and high enough quality for any handloading projects you might have in mind. CCI’s reliable non-corrosive Boxer primers are good at preventing light strikes, and their powder burns nice and clean.
This ammo is not suitable for firearms with ported barrels or recoil compensators.
