It has the hard exterior and round nose profile it needs to feed without hesitation in any semi-automatic. It also isn’t designed for terminal expansion, which contributes a lot to its affordability.

Can the FMJ neutralize a threat? Without question. It has done so countless times on countless battlefields already. But if you’re really trying to give yourself your best odds of survival, then a JHP bullet will serve you better.
