Details
In the age of ever increasing regulations for indoor ranges and environmental regulation of all types, this Winchester cartridge line (Winclean) seeks to offer a round that enhances shooter comfort and lessen the effects of lead and powder exposure at the firing line for indoor shooters. For high volume shooters, or for where the range will dictate specific regulations that must be adhered to, this is a good choice of practice ammunition.
The price point is not significantly increased for the added bonuses of cleanliness and minimization of contact to heavy lead exposure that this round offers. The Winclean gives a more pleasant shooting experience all in with a bit lower recoil, and a much cleaner environment at the line with all the engineering pushing whatever is left over after firing, away from the shooter. Generally speaking, these rounds are basically only well suited to indoor shooting, the ballistics and bullet design don’t lend too well towards threat stopping power compared to purely personal defense type loads. Outdoor shooting will have already mitigated most lead specific concerns, as will a FMJ projectile; many load options can claim that.
Best suited for those who shoot a high volume indoors, or who are members of gun clubs or shoot at ranges where additional lead or environmental considerations must be taken.
