…on second thought, forget we said any of that.
This is Hornady’s Frontier label ammunition. It’s loaded with the old Nebraskan powerhouse’s premium 55 grain full metal jacket bullets: consistent and balanced in weight, uniform in exterior dimensions, equipped with toothed cannelures to prevent setback under recoil, and totally free of any metals that could attract a magnet. At 3,240 fps (24” bbl), the round’s muzzle velocity gives it essentially identical ballistic performance to G.I. Joe’s standard 5.56 M193 round.
Hornady made the bullets. The Lake City Army Ammunition Plant did everything else. You can plainly see where the new, reloadable brass cases were heat-treated, as Lake City didn’t waste a second polishing them after the fact. You can also rest assured that this *new* ammo is absolutely noncorrosive.
