This ammo’s steel cases certainly do make it resemble a Russian-made product. It’s actually manufactured by Sterling, a subsidiary of Turaç over in Turkey. Steel cases’ greatest attraction is their lower cost. You’ll pay less for this ammo because of them. But steel cases also aren’t reloadable, so there’s no point in straining your lower back stooping over to pick them up.
Sterling didn’t do anything overly inventive when they designed this ammo’s bullets. A 123 grain full metal jacket translates to a muzzle velocity of 2,362 fps and zero terminal expansion upon striking a soft medium. The lead-core bullet’s bi-metal jacket is predominantly composed of steel, so you won’t have any luck trying to bring these rounds to a range that ixnays magnetic ammo. Sterling’s rifle cartridges are noncorrosive, though, so there’s no rust in your future when you order today!
