Details
A lightweight .223 projectile that is suitable for the smallest game and will provide excellent impact on varmints of all types as well as serving as a very good target round for use in competition without having to pay the premium prices for dedicated target loads, if you are shooting out of a mainstream rifle with a twist rate of 1 in 9 inches or higher. The smaller weight projectile is less prone to wind drag at the shorter distances and can maintain great flight stability and trajectory for performance out to about 350 yards, though the sweet spot is probably out to about 175 yards as the lighter weight projectile lacks some of the inertial value of the larger grain weights.
Paired with a lightweight rifle for a lightweight hunting target, this is a great round for the varminter out there who wants premium build quality and no sacrifices on reliability and performance for game up to about 75–100 lbs. Larger than that, and you may as well move up a weight class to save a few dollars and get some of the coefficient and static ballistics that come with a larger bullet for larger targets.
This load is mostly meant for very small game up to about 55 lbs. and at that, it excels.
