Remington’s Range line of ammunition is right on par with their UMC one in terms of quality. These round’s cases have never been chambered before, let alone fired. They’re primed with quality Kleanbore Boxer primers, and filled with clean-burning temperature-stable smokeless. Firing such ammo should be a cakewalk for any old semi-auto.
The 115 grain full metal jacket isn’t just great for target shooting because it’s low recoil. It also zips across a flat trajectory to a close-range target, as its light weight grants it a supersonic muzzle velocity without generating excessive pressure in return.
Is Remington Range good for defense? It’s not our top recommendation given the JHP’s inability to expand, but we’d much rather have this 4-box case of ammunition over nothing during a calamity.
