Details
This cartridge’s hollow point bullet does not have a core and jacket. It is instead made of solid copper, which makes it light for the 380 at just 77 grains. You’ll almost certainly perceive lighter recoil while firing this ammo, which means less muzzle rise to overcome while you’re firing at a threat.
The SCHP bullet is tougher than a conventional JHP as well. A bullet which excels at remaining intact necessarily excels at retaining its weight – the secret to producing a consistently deep wound channel. The SCHP’s reliable terminal expansion takes place as the bullet juts out five sharp-cornered petals.
Its inability to leave behind lead fouling which gradually worsens a firearm’s accuracy is yet another of the SCHP’s advantages. Sellier & Bellot’s own propellant and non-corrosive primers promote even cleaner performance still. This Czech-made ammo’s brass cases are reloadable.
